Does anyone find the whole Myspace/LJ/Facebook/Bebo/whatever incredibly confusing?

I have an LJ account from ages ago which I never use, signed up to Myspace maybe last year, the password to which I can't even remember now, and just signed up to Facebook to see what it's about... again I failed to see what people use it for. Some kind of online address book with photos? Looking at Myspace gives me unending headache.

I feel so last generation O___O What do all you cool kids do on those things these days?!

(also, I did buy an electric guitar :O)

//edit// good god, I was doing random searches on Facebook and I actually found a LOT of people I went to high school with. Most of them probably didn't really know me but I recognize their names and faces. I wonder if I should message the few who were sort of my friends. It's weird because back then I didn't talk to anyone at school...

Cool kids today are using Facebook, who've gone completely commercial like Myspce since it's been sold. It used to be the geeky site that you had to use your uni email to be a member of. ¬¬

I have no idea. Honestly, I horribly oppose those websites. They = evil. At least in my book.

I don't see the point in them. Or why people will AIM the person who lives down the street instead of calling or visiting them, or who will text message someone on their cell phone (who is sitting 10 feet away from them, while they are supposed to be paying attention to the teacher).

*sigh* Kids nowadays.

I don't do any of those things, but then I'm an old fart. ;P My wife does Myspace to keep track of old friends and such but most of what I see on there looks like it's a singles club.

Yeah, facebook and myspace was confusing at 1st (for me it was). The website is to keep in touch with family/friends and just chat and do lots of stuff I guess...

Lol, I used to IM my roommate saying silly things like "HEY HONEY I LUV U SO MUCH", then she'd turun around, look at me annoyed while I burst out laughing, then she'd IM me back with "piss off you suck" hahaha. =P

But that's got nothing to do with what I was talking about Myspace etc, um.

They are really confusing at first! They're a different way to communicate with people who aren't located close by, sort of a way to play around, or at least that's what I think! :)

I haven't found much use in any of those sites, either. My sister's a big fan of both MySpace and Facebook, though.

Seriously not my thing...

(Got a electric guitar? Awesome-ness-ness! Is it purty? XD)

I never wanted anything of the sort. But my sister forced me to join myspace with her, and its the only one I will ever join. XD Its just as the last person said to keep in contact with friends and such, at least thats what I do. Its not at all confusing for me and after I found it kinda fun...but I hate having so many like people have all of those sites, so Im just sticking to myspace. XD

I have to admit, that's kinda funny. Okay... more than kinda. Sounds like something I'd do.

I can't help you with Myspace, etc. I don't like it. XD
